E-commerce Luxury Brand Store
High-performance headless e-commerce for a luxury fashion house in Mumbai.
The Problem
A collective of Mumbai-based luxury fashion brands operated separate Shopify stores with inconsistent branding and a unified checkout that converted poorly. The shared Shopify theme loaded at 4.2s LCP on mobile — catastrophic for a demographic that browses on Instagram and expects instant gratification. Mobile bounce rate sat at 45%, and the member-exclusive pricing model required manual adjustments per customer.
The Solution
We replaced the shared Shopify theme with a Next.js headless frontend connected to Shopify Plus via Storefront API. Each brand kept its own visual identity within a shared architecture. Algolia-powered search delivered instant product discovery across the entire catalogue. AR Quick Look integration let iOS shoppers virtually try on accessories before purchase.
Implementation Highlights
- Dynamic pricing engine: Membership tiers mapped to Shopify customer tags, displayed automatically at checkout
- Real-time inventory sync: Every online purchase deducted stock across 6 physical boutiques via webhooks
- Framer Motion animations: Micro-interactions on product cards, cart additions, and navigation created a tactile browsing feel
